The Bluestone Fire Slab – 1000 is made from Bluestone fire clay, a refractory material made from Bluestone fire clay which is a refractory material made for heat and has virtually zero thermal expansion.The surface is made up of a mosaic of stoneware clay tiles. It has two stainless steel eyelets (one with a lock-nut) to hold two optional mild steel accessories. The photo shows an adjustable swing grid and a potjie hook.

An ash catcher and a charcoal grid for the base of the slab are included with each fire-pit. The fire slab is weather resistant although we suggest the accessories be kept under cover/indoors when not in use. The mild steel trim may require periodic minor touch-ups.
