Pizza Ovens for Your Home

Pizza! It’s the perfect weekday, weekend, and celebration treat – just about everybody thinks so. The history of pizza dates back to the 18th century in Naples, when the locals added tomato to their flat bread. Since then, the toppings and cooking styles have changed a great deal, but one thing hasn’t – everybody loves pizza. With new cooking techniques and, of course, advanced cooking equipment, pizzas have become far more delectable than its humble beginnings.

While the ingredients of the pizza have a major impact on the end result, the pizza oven also plays a huge role in creating the perfect pizza. With the popularity of pizza increasing over the years, the market has seen a demand for pizza ovens, and many leading suppliers on the market have heard the demand and released a variety of ovens typically designed for installation and use in the home.

If you are looking for pizza ovens to compare and choose between, there are a few things to consider before you can settle one to invest in, especially if you want to install a pizza oven that will be loved and appreciated in your home for many years to come. At Keith Hamilton, we provide the following types of pizza ovens that are suitable for the home:

Clad-Tiled Pizza Ovens

This is the Keith Hamilton premium pizza oven range, available in two sizes (small and large), with the choice of three different finishes: brown tiles, creams tiles, or the new and much-in-demand smooth cement finish. During the manufacturing process, only superior quality materials are used, and the unit is then fired at 1 200 degrees Celsius to ensure high quality and strength. As each pizza oven is hand-made, minor differences may occur unit to unit. The oven is supplied with the cement mix, cooking surface bricks (and the metal band to hold bricks in place), the chimney, and the dome.

Fire-Clay Pizza Ovens

These pizza ovens are manufactured from Keith’s specially formulated, reduced thermal expansion fire clay, and can withstand high temperatures. The fire clay pizza oven is supplied as a ready-made unit that makes it easy for customers to purchase and install themselves. The smaller of the two options weighs 60 kg, and the larger option weighs 70 kg.

Freestanding Pizza Ovens

These pizza ovens are also manufactured from Keith’s very own clay. Similarly to the fire-clay pizza ovens, they are manufactured as a single unit, separate from the chimney and arch. These are elegant units that can be used on a countertop in your home or in a stand on the floor. They are portable too, which means that you can take them along to other events too. They are available in small and large sizes.

At Keith Hamilton, we also stock a range of commercial and restaurant pizza ovens, which are much larger and therefore capable of a greater output (they can typically cook 8 to 10 pizzas at a time).
